Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) as a Government Sponsored AI Trade

Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) as a Government Sponsored AI Trade

We believe that Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) as a trade has many similarities with Palantir (PLTR) as a government sponsored AI trade.

Palantir has run from $6 to $150+ on the back of strong market speculation in the AI sector and growing revenue from government contracts. They build AI driven data analytics platforms for government agencies, especially in defense and intelligence, and commercial enterprises

Hedera Hashgraph is a decentralized, open-source, proof-of-stake (PoS) public ledger that uses a unique hashgraph consensus algorithm and is managed by a diverse council of up to 39 organizations including Google, IBM, and Deutsche Telekom.

Hedera has established various collaborations and initiatives related to government contracts and public sector applications:

  • Cybersecurity & Data Storage: Hedera's technology is used by the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Science Foundation through a partnership with Taekion, a cybersecurity platform funded by the U.S. government, for secure storage and encryption of government files.
  • Drone Technology: Neuron Innovations has used the Hedera network in government-sponsored tests in the UK for tracking military, business, and government drones beyond visual line of sight.
  • AI Governance: Hedera Foundation, in collaboration with Accenture and EQTY Lab, is working on solutions for transparent and verifiable oversight of AI and generative AI systems in the public sector.
  • State & Local Level: Hedera is being deployed in public sector divisions by ScanComputers and Accenture for digital identity, land registries, and citizen services.
  • Real-World Asset (RWA) Focus: Thrive Protocol partnered with Hedera to fund RWA projects, and Aberdeen PLC collaborated with Archax and Lloyds Bank to use RWAs as collateral in the UK.
  • Voting Systems (speculation): Smart contracts on Hedera could potentially be used to create more secure and transparent voting systems which was a large discussion in the 2024 election.

HBAR was recently listed on Robinhood and has an ETF pending approval, giving more availability to retail investors.

HBAR's price action is somewhat similar to PLTR's as well:
