Read the chart as a scenario
Path compares an asset with five nearby historical shapes, weights closer matches more heavily and can adjust their outcomes for volatility. Its central estimate can include historical drift. A projected line illustrates model output; it is not knowledge of future prices, a trade instruction, a guaranteed target or a recommendation suited to your circumstances.
Long-term upward drift can produce bullish estimates without predicting turning points. Many assets rising together can make an always-up forecast appear accurate. Past or hypothetical performance does not establish future performance, profitability or an advantage over a simple baseline.
Agreement is not a probability
The fraction or weighted percentage of selected historical matches that rose describes those examples. Five matches are a small, potentially dependent sample. That agreement is not a calibrated probability that the current asset will rise. The shaded peer range spans selected scenarios; future prices can fall outside it. It is not a calibrated confidence interval.
Short histories may require shorter effective lookbacks. Changing the asset pool, dates, matching method, volatility scaling or weights can materially change the output. Check the displayed lookback, horizon, data source and as-of date.
Data and backtest limitations
Histories can contain gaps, stale observations, revised prices, ticker changes and incorrect split/dividend adjustments. Asset selection can introduce survivorship or selection bias. Choosing methods after studying historical results can overfit those periods. Reusing studied periods is not independent validation. Hypothetical results may omit fees, taxes, slippage, financing, market impact and executable liquidity.
Daily observations are not live executable quotes. CoinGecko daily USD snapshots at midnight UTC differ from exchange-specific closes and Yahoo’s daily crypto close series. Different markets have different calendars and measurement times. Histories do not predate an asset’s existence, and purchased-plan limits can restrict available history.
Commodity futures can differ substantially from spot prices, and rolling contracts can contain roll effects or negative observations. Indexes are not directly tradable investments. Stock, index, crypto and commodity futures feeds are checked daily, but provider delays, unavailable observations or validation failures can postpone publication. Stablecoins are excluded from screening and the matching pool; other crypto assets can still involve issuer, protocol, custody, peg, liquidity or duplicate-exposure risks.
Volatility and relative strength
Low recent volatility does not guarantee an imminent large move or its direction. Strong recent relative performance can reverse. Neither ranking is a personalized instruction to buy, sell, hold or use leverage.
Your decisions and rights
Verify instrument identity, units, timestamps and important information through suitable independent sources. Consider liquidity, costs and downside risk. You can lose all invested funds; some derivatives or leveraged positions can lose more than the initial investment. Seek qualified advice when you need advice about your financial circumstances.
