The Trump NFT mint was wildly successful and quite innovative (mint with email address and debit card). Expect others to copy the success of this mint model, and expect the market to try to replicate the profits.
The Donald Trump NFT had a few key components that made it an instant success:
- Target market outside of crypto (fresh capital)
- Mint with debit card + email (accessibility for fresh capital)
- Massive audience (celebrity POTUS)
- Reasonable Valuation ($4.5M)
We want to be on the lookout for future NFT mints that attempt to copy-cat the minting model (debit card + email address) and share these common components.
The Play:
Mint any copy-cat models of the Trump mint if they involve a celebrity, a large non-crypto audience, and have a reasonable pre-mint valuation. The goal is to get in and get out quick. Remember, when you are trading NFTs, you are trading attention. NFTs are generally not attractive to HODL long-term.
